On Monday May 9, 2022, The Mississippi County Sheriff's Department Street Crimes Unit, The Sheriff's Drug Task Force along with Probation/Parole and The Gosnell Police Department conducted a search of the Jeremy Barnett residence located on North Gosnell Street in Gosnell. During the search Officer's located one Girsan MC28 SA-T 9mm handgun, one FN 509 9mm handgun, one EAA 38 special revolver, 95 ecstasy pills, 83 oxycodone pills containing suspected fentanyl, 5 alprazolam pills, 22 clonazepam pills, 21 diazepam pills, 4 ounces of marijuana, various drug paraphernalia and $1,707.00 in cash. Mr. Barnett was transported to the Mississippi County Detention Center.
Jeremy Barnett from Gosnell (32 years old) was charged with the following;
Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Purpose to Deliver (marijuana)
Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Purpose to Deliver (oxycodone fentanyl)
Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Purpose to Deliver (ecstasy)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (alprazolam)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (diazepam)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (clonazepam)
Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms
Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Judge Shannon Langston issued Mr. Barnett a $150,000.00 bond.
