Stop Yields Drugs

On Friday, December 20, 2019 at approximately 12:35 a.m. Deputy Brandon Vandyke was notified of a tan Buick driving erratically on Highway 158 in the Victoria area.  Deputy Vandyke observed the vehicle traveling east on Highway 158 in the middle of the roadway.  Deputy Vandyke conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  Deputy Vandyke made contact with the driver, Larry Neal.  While checking Mr. Neal through ACIC, Deputy Vandyke learned that Mr. Neal was currently on active supervised probation.  Deputy Vandyke then conducted a probation search of Mr. Neal's vehicle and found suspected methamphetamine inside a pill bottle and a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine. 

Larry Neal (50 years old) was arrested and transported to the Mississippi County Detention Center and was charged with the following;

Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine)

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Mr. Neal received a $50,000 temporary bond from the Honorable District Judge Don Betterton.
