News Release

On May 5, 2016 at approximately 5:31 p.m. the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department received a call in reference to a Robbery that occurred at Mailboxes and Beyond on Main street in Blytheville.  The caller advised the suspects were in a red Chevy Impala.  The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department received information the vehicle was on the side of the roadway on Highway 61 north of Luxora.  At approximately 5:45 p.m. Officers from Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department and Luxora Police Department located the vehicle.  Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with Larry Perkins.  Mr. Perkins told officers that he robbed the store because they would not cash his check.  Mr. Perkins also told officers he did not have a gun.  The driver was detained to be interviewed by Blytheville officers.  Mr. Perkins was arrested and turned over to the Blytheville Police Department.
